By downloading, installing, or using Kavi Keyboard, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our App.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Kavi Keyboard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

  • Typed Content: Text you type using the keyboard, including messages, emails, documents, social media posts, or any other content
  • Passwords: Passwords, PINs, or any authentication credentials
  • Personal Messages: SMS, chat messages, or any private communications
  • Sensitive Information: Financial data, health information, or any personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Contact Information: Your contacts list or address book
  • Browsing History: Websites you visit or search queries
  • Location Data: Your geographic location
  • Device Identifiers: We do not collect device IDs, advertising IDs, or similar identifiers

3. On-Device Processing

All keyboard functionality operates entirely on your device:

  • Autocorrect: Corrections are generated locally on your device
  • Word Predictions: Next-word suggestions are computed on-device
  • Personal Dictionary: Your custom words are stored locally only
  • Typing Patterns: Learning data never leaves your device
  • Clipboard Data: Any clipboard content accessed by the keyboard is processed locally and never transmitted

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.

4. Permissions We Request

Kavi Keyboard requests the following permissions to function properly:

  • Input Method: Required to function as your keyboard and process your keystrokes locally
  • Storage (Optional): For exporting/importing custom dictionary and themes
  • Vibration: For haptic feedback when typing (optional)

We do not request or use permissions to access the internet, contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive data.

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit your typing data, there is no risk of data breach from our servers. Your personal dictionary and learned words are stored locally using your device's secure storage mechanisms (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain where applicable).

We recommend:

  • Keeping your device's operating system updated
  • Using a secure screen lock on your device
  • Not sharing your device with untrusted individuals

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Kavi Keyboard is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations:

  • We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
  • We do NOT collect any personal information from users of any age
  • We do NOT use advertising or analytics that track children
  • We do NOT require account registration or email address
  • We do NOT offer in-app purchases that could be accessed by children without parental consent
  • All data processing happens locally on the device

Parents and guardians can be assured that Kavi Keyboard does not collect, store, or transmit any data from their children's devices.

7. Third-Party Services

Kavi Keyboard does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:

  • Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
  • Facebook SDK or Pixel
  • Any advertising SDKs
  • Crash reporting services that transmit user data

The only third-party services involved are the app stores (Google Play Store and Apple App Store), which have their own privacy policies governing app downloads and basic install metrics.

8. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any data, there is no data retention period. All user data remains on your device and is deleted when you:

  • Clear the app data from your device settings
  • Uninstall the app
  • Reset your personal dictionary from within the app settings

9. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is stored locally on your device and accessible through the app settings
  • Deletion: Clear your personal dictionary anytime in Settings > Dictionary > Clear personal data
  • Export: Export your custom dictionary from Settings > Dictionary > Export
  • Opt-out: Simply uninstall the app to remove all app data from your device

10. International Users

Kavi Keyboard is available worldwide. Since we do not collect or transfer any user data, there are no cross-border data transfers to worry about. The app complies with:

  • GDPR (European Union)
  • COPPA (United States)
  • CCPA (California)
  • Other international privacy regulations

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
